Yaskawa Electric expands its SIGMA-X series AC servo drives with the launch of new 400V products.
Yaskawa Electric has launched a new 400V input servo motor and SERVOPACK amplifier for the large equipment market.
Yaskawa Electric Corporation (Japan) announced the addition of a new 400V voltage product line to its high-performance Sigma-X series AC servo systems, meeting the demand for high-power drives in large machine tools, injection molding machines, and metal processing equipment.
The newly launched SGMXA series 400V servo motors cover a power range from 1.5kW to 22kW, with rated speeds of 1500rpm or 2000rpm, and peak torque up to more than three times the rated torque. The motors utilize high-performance rare-earth permanent magnet materials and high-strength silicon steel sheets, combined with optimized electromagnetic design, achieving higher power density and lower temperature rise.
The matching SGDXS series 400V servo drives (SERVOPACK) support both single-axis and multi-axis configurations, featuring advanced vibration suppression algorithms and auto-tuning functions that significantly shorten equipment commissioning time. The drives come standard with two industrial Ethernet interfaces, EtherCAT and Mechatrolink-III, offering flexible compatibility with different brands of host control systems.
Yaskawa Electric's technical headquarters stated that the 400V product line continues the Sigma-X series design philosophy of "high performance, high reliability, and ease of use." By supporting direct 400V three-phase power input, the need for step-down transformers required by traditional 200V systems is eliminated, reducing the electrical system cost and installation complexity for large equipment.
The new products are now available for global orders. Yaskawa's factory in China will handle production and supply for the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring a rapid response to regional market demand.
