Yaskawa Expands Sigma-X Series AC Servo Drive with 400V New Products
Yaskawa Motor launches new 400V input servo motors and SERVOPACK amplifiers for the large equipment market.
Yaskawa Electric Corporation of Japan announced that its high-performance Sigma-X series AC servo system has added a 400V voltage grade product line to meet the needs of large machine tools, injection molding machines, and metal processing equipment for high-power drives.
The newly launched SGMXA series 400V servo motor power range covers 1.5kW to 22kW, with rated speeds of 1500rpm or 2000rpm, and peak torque reaching more than 3 times the rated torque. The motor uses high-performance rare earth permanent magnet materials and high-strength silicon steel sheets, combined with optimized electromagnetic design, achieving higher power density and lower temperature rise.
The supporting SGDXS series 400V servo drive (SERVOPACK) supports single-axis and multi-axis configurations, with built-in advanced vibration suppression algorithms and auto-tuning functions, significantly shortening equipment debugging time. The drive comes standard with both EtherCAT and Mechatrolink-III industrial Ethernet interfaces, flexibly adapting to different brands of host control systems.
Yaskawa Electric's technical headquarters stated that the 400V product line continues the design philosophy of "high performance, high reliability, and ease of use" of the Sigma-X series. By supporting direct 400V three-phase power input, it eliminates the need for step-down transformers required by traditional 200V systems, reducing the electrical system cost and installation complexity of large equipment.
The new products have begun accepting global orders, and Yaskawa's Chinese factory will undertake production and supply tasks for the Asia-Pacific region to ensure rapid response to regional market demands.
