China Servo Motor Industry In-Depth Research: Five-Axis Linkage Promotes Multi-Axis Synchronous Control Technology Development
The servo motor market continues to expand in 2025, with industrial robots, CNC machine tools, and new energy equipment becoming the three core application fields.
According to industry research reports, the Chinese servo motor market size reached approximately 16.8 billion yuan in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 11.2%. Among them, industrial robot applications accounted for 28%, CNC machine tools for 24%, and new energy equipment for 19%, with these three fields combined accounting for over 70% of market share.
The popularization of five-axis linkage machining centers is one of the key factors driving servo motor technology upgrades. Five-axis linkage places extremely high demands on multi-axis synchronous control, with positional synchronization errors between axes needing to be controlled at the micron level, which directly drives the coordinated development of high-resolution encoders, advanced control algorithms, and high-response servo drives.
In multi-axis synchronous control technology, domestic manufacturers have made important breakthroughs. Based on the EtherCAT bus distributed control architecture, nanosecond-level clock synchronization and microsecond-level control cycles have been achieved, bringing multi-axis system synchronization precision to internationally advanced levels. CNC system products from companies such as Shenzhen Gorcie CNC have achieved five-axis linkage interpolation control, supporting RTCP (Rotated Tool Center Point programming) functions, and have been widely applied in mold processing and impeller processing.
In the future, with the rise of composite machining centers and additive-subtractive hybrid manufacturing equipment, requirements for multi-axis collaborative control will further increase, and servo motors and control systems will continue to develop towards higher precision, stronger computing power, and better usability.
